June 16 & 17, 2017 Gothenburg, Sweden

ACT with Self-Care, the inaugural workshop by Prof Kelly Wilson 16-17 June 2017

Self-Care is often last on the list. But think twice, is there any of your important values that can be vitally performed without you being vital and full functioning? Who is nourishing that process of vitality, if not you? Self-Care and Self-compassion are found to be central to our well-being and health.

In this inspirational and exclusive workshop (we be a small group of max 30 people), we will learn through direct experience how powerful acts of self-care & self-compassion can enrich and empower all areas of valued living. This workshop will provide two days focused on values work in ACT. ACT is an integrated model, so our work together will necessarily touch upon other components of the model. However, the workshop will show how other components facilitate valued living. ACT principles will guide participants in new interventions, worksheets & interviews that can be used in any human services environment, including mental health clinics, but also, medical settings, workplaces, schools & community centers.

The workshop will be densely experiential & will focus on a set of tools & skills that participants will be prepared to use immediately following the workshop. This is a workshop not only for psychologists but for all health care professions. This work is directly relevant to physicians, nurses, dietician, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other health care providers.
You are very welcome to bring a colleague new to ACT. It will be accessible for all!
